Changing an Existing PCCharge Merchant Number

To change a merchant number that already exists in PCCharge, you should have the following information ready:

• All of your company's contact information
• Your PCCharge serial number
• Your PCCharge product name and version (obtained by clicking Help then About in PCCharge)
• The old merchant number and the name of the old payment processing company
• The new merchant number and the name of the new payment processing company. Click here to access the PCCharge Activation Worksheet and verify the correct merchant number format PRIOR to accessing the request form.

We recommend that you carefully read the following steps before you carry them out:

1. Click here to fill out our Merchant Number Add/Change Request Form and submit an online change request. This form will appear in a new window.
2. Fill out your company's information.
3. If you do not have multiple merchant accounts configured in PCCharge, skip this step and proceed to step 4. If do you have multiple merchant accounts configured in your PCCharge software, you must attach your existing TID.PCC file. This file is found in your PCCharge installation directory (the default installation directories are listed at the bottom of these instructions).
4. If you need to change a check, debit, EBT, or gift card processing company merchant number, you can specify all information related to that change within the box labeled Additional Comments.
5. Fill out the fields labeled Old Processor Name: and New Processor Name: with the appropriate information.
6. Click Save and Continue. The form will reload. Depending on your processing company, you may be prompted to enter additional setup information.
7. Enter your full name below the Additional Setup Information. Click I Agree.

• PCCharge Payment Server: C/Program Files/Active-charge
• PCCharge Express: C:/Program Files/Win-charge

An FTP link to your updated TID.PCC, including download and configuration instructions, will be sent to you via e-mail within 24 hours (during the normal business week).
